# MIN: a theatrical webAR tour through Schouwburg Kunstmin

The theme: impermanence

What has faded, what is fading now, and what is still to come? MIN shows memories stored in the walls and invites visitors to make new ones. Frequencies you normally cannot see or hear become audible and visible through the web app.

Five makers, five places

Studio Marlou Linders, Remember the Future: a 3D garment inspired by the building that you try on virtually and photograph.

REDO, Schaduwen in de Tijd: a dancer alone with his shadow, in dance, music, spoken word and digital layers.

De Poëzieboys, Room en Juul: the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet in one minute and only one-syllable words, in the stairwell.

Carmen van Mulier, Voor Altijd Hier: a woman in a box bed with blue curtains writes in her diary with a peacock feather and notices the audience.

Mathieu Wijdeven, Het pand der Goden: a giant kankantri tree in the foyer, with the story of Johannes Nicolaas Helstone, author of the first Surinamese opera.

The technology

The tour is a mobile website in MIN's house style, installable as an app (PWA) and fully usable offline. A floor plan shows the five locations; each maker has a page with bio, background, audio and a start button for the AR experience. Each work uses the tracking that suits it best: vertical on walls, image recognition or the floor. Recordings were made against a green screen and combined with 3D models and animation, built with 8th Wall.

Credits

Client: Stichting Kunstmin, made possible by the Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie. Concept and dramaturgy: Robin Coops. Theatre production: Jos Tobé. Voice of MIN: Myrthe van der Vuurst de Vries. Technical and online production: ArtiShock. Studio and post-production: HIA3D. Web development with Hallobraaf; AR implementation with 360 Fabriek.
